After fantastic The Golden Handshake EP, Low Limit and Lando Kal, acting together again as LAZER SWORD, has released a limited blue vinyl 7" with most surprising, infectious, cheesy-as-hell and shower-friendly track I've heard in a while, namely Shot in the Nite. Since the first hearing, it kinda stuck in my head and now emerges from time to time in most unexpected moments as if shot into my brain by some heavy-duty bionic commando :) A very peculiar tribute to disco funky happiness of the 70's/80's, pure hedonistic uplifting pleasure with uniquely Lazer Sword mutated and crunked up synths. Let's sing and dance together boys and girls to this BANGERRRRRRRRRRRRR !!! This is the tune I could easily bear being played twenty times a day on mainstream, commercial radio stations :) The best tool to create havoc on any dancefloor. Blap to the Future!!!!

In Koopa Boss Mode, the Trapperkeeper meets 3D Action Jackson to deliver the usual plunderphonic madness with plenty of sick samples and cut-up beats squashed together, reprocessed and then spat out on you with head-nodding force. Slow but effective banger!

Chico Sonido - Discotheka Freestyle

Chico Sonido in Discoteca Freestyle mix. This one sits on my hard-drive barely a week, but it has become my dirty pleasure ever since. I have to start my day at work with at least a few minutes of this epic tribute to ultra cheesy discoteka years. Just listen to asi me gusta a mi or corazon de cristal. Oh boy! So many classic disco tracks in Spanish versions. I don't know about you but these female (and occasionally also male) voices and wedding-style synths of long-gone era caught me like a swine flu. I have not recovered yet.

I HATE DISCO ...................... NOT

Normally I don't listen do house or disco (unless it is some corpo party when I actually crave for some proper house tune instead of f...g blues or el guitarist shit played too loud behind my back). But today my mood nosedived to such extreme lows that I had to apply some cure to switch off my emotions and send the neurons on holidays. Apart from a good spliff which somehow did not seem a good option right now, there is no better way to forget oneself than playing loud some hedonistic, pumping, simple beats with straigtforward message: LET'S DANCE. I turned my attention to disco mixes and I found this:

Nick Thayer - Thizz Disco vol. 3 The medicine worked, I even stretched my limbs a bit. This mix is a proper funk shit - try it any homeparty, a dancefloor full of pretty girls gauranteed. I'd like to thank Nick Thayer for saving my day :)
