Filastine - Colony Collapse EP / Loot LP (Muti Music)

Grey Filastine a.k.a. Filastine, the producer and promoter of transnational bass music, is a Los Angeles born and Barcelona based audio and visual artist. A few weeks ago he released a "Colony Collapse" EP which precedes a full length "Loot LP" to be released on Muti Music on 3rd April. This will be also the beginning of Filastine's one your world tour from Berlin to Tokyo and Brasil to Bangladesh! "Colony Collapse" features remixes by Beats Antique, Squeaky Lobster, L’Ouef Raide and Fletcher in Dub. The title track is built on a rolling, grinding bass with the acompaniament of traditional, indonesian Gamelan orchestra from Sanur, Bali (oh my sweet Bali, I left a good part of my heart in enchanting Sanur!) and featuring beautiful vocals of Nova, a rapper and singer from Malang, Indonesia. I really, really dig this mixture of occidental dubstep and oriental melodies. Beats Antique brought the track to yet another level adding even more instruments to the mix. My favorite remixer, Squeaky Lobster focused strongly on glitchy distortions and seriously cut-up beat, while refixing gamelan bells into tinkling background of an infectious and ethereal sonic trip. L'Oeuf Raide stripped down Colony Collapse into a minimal, future bass thing, whereas Fletcher in Dub, hailing from Capetown, closes the EP with dark dub full of powerful drums. In general, "Colony Collapse" is a tasty, eclectic package, proving that intelligent producers are still succesfully using dubstep formula, at least as the starting point in their music explorations.

Filastine - Colony Collapse by Post World Industries

Colony Collapse video leaves no doubt about the general concept followed by the artist in his "Loot" LP. It is filmed at sites of ecological friction, the fault lines of conflict between humanity and nature. Filastine & team entered into industrial disasters, floods, traffic snarls and scaled a mountain of garbage to show you the slow-motion apocalypse, uncomfortably close and personal.

In "Loot" Filastine looted the cofers of dubstep, moombahton, cumbia, hip hop, baile funk, rich traditional music scene and even 8-bit nintendo, mixing everything into a big transnational bass feast. In his music statement, he gathered his experience, field recordings and sound samples from travels across the globe, from Morocco through Rio de Janeiro and Asia to Barcelona. But "Loot" is definitely NOT just another trendy transnational moombahton/bass release, it is much more. A work of very self-conscious artist who not only entertains his listeners, showing them the diversity and depth of world music, but who also tries to draw their attention to painful problems of our beautiful Gaia. I believe this concept works quite well. "Loot" comes out on Tuesday, April 3rd at most of the Interweb music dealers. I really encourage you to have a listen, dear fellow Earthlings and support Filastine, because he is doing a very fine job.

Ido Wido - Dabkes and Darbukas Mix

I'm drowning with nasty, ugly, boring loan/legal work. I wouldn't have survived this horrible week without incjections of nasty global bass and similar. Here is absolutely fantastic Middle Eastern global bass mix by a DJ from Israel - Ido Wido. By Internet standards this stuff is old (one month he he) and has been already posted to a few sites, but it is so daaaaaamn good I have to give props to this guy mixing beautiful arabic melodies with hip hop / dancehall / cumbia / moombathon and whatnot. I really really dig this selection. Eh, all those arabic tambourines, drums, violins and vocals I definitely miss them.

Montek's Party Report - Deadboy, Toy Selectah @ Twisted Pepper, Dublin

See yourself re-transmission.

Bounce everybody!

Dublin did it! Let's reverse the entertainment, starting from the Oscar winning Cumbia hedgehog! Aren't you somfin'?

Night ended up squirky, everybody was internally touched by Nicaraguan bass, beat and/or inferno Latino counter strike. Yet again it was a place to be! Me senses are sane; bejeweled!

When the time comes to an end there are no subtitles, ambient theme songs, there's just pressure to be different, kooler, smoother, tighter, funkier, simply from ouuuuta space. Zee lights are on! Knock, knock! Who's there? It's Toy Hernández! (Keep an eye on the third-party fellow showing root square of x!?).

But hey, parry is starting, all the smiley faces a bit drugged, drunked to the MUD still juggling like they should, let's roll, let's swing to the oriental rhythm. Be curious, uptight, eased, plural if you've taken your alter ego(s) down there, celebrate, like there's no other way! No FFWD's...

Up to the way we like, untold, unfinished, crazee, waving to start/stop the madness. Let's roll our pancake makers! By appointment you can even get a nice warm fingery experience by me matey CD Fingah', like everybody should. Feel it! http://www.amazon.co.uk/feengy_thingy_underwear

How mad is that? That's were I am myself losing some kcal's. Still, what's happening in the sewer? Deadboy's killed the basement. It is locked, fallen now. Barman's up on the overground scene, disjointed with his beloved pint distributors, movin', shakin', whaaaaaat's happening? I'm not heading there, tried once, nothing special...

Yes, rumors are true, "-1" is closed, [NUMBERS] have become outnumbered. Seriously, what happened there? Flooding? Fo' sho' not by peeps, it's Friday, whoa up? On other leg everybody has moved here, waaaaaay better, it's full now, no need to split your precious time between levels, level up with it, here, cause who's on the buttons? Toy is!

Look who's crawled back from the sewerside, it's Deadboy! Sound & werd mate, nice und slick bassline/gerritch! That's how you make us dance. No walls falling, no queues to the toilet. Checked.

Before that there was even something deep, Deadboy's not pestering, he's keeping up the flow. Well it's a mix, so change is the right thing to maintain. Smooth, clean like a breath. Gud Jab Dood! Mixmaister Mike has nothing to say.

At the beginning, let's not forget about the architects. Peace, Luv, Unity & Respect to the Dublin Crew, they went G.I.B., check out plandering 2'00".

Afterwards they paid me for the pints I gave them, we walked to the DaDa Restaurant for the Christmas Dinner 2010, next they put some money into my friend's account, then we filled our plates, walked, bused, Rathmines. It's Saturday. Sunday's Friday!

Increase the peace by decreasing your outcome or income if you wish. it's the same thing. Or is it?

Big Up Subz! Montek.

EL REMOLON - ZZK Mixtape vol. 9

The mighty cumbia label - Zizek Records from Buenos Aires has just released a new mixtape by their shining star - El Remolon (aka Andrés Schteingart). This is just a taste of what’s to come on his next album & EP, both of which will be released by ZZK Records later this year. One can hear the wide music spectrum here from cumbia mashups through cumbiastep to dubstep, but what really counts is a fantastic, laidback yet very danceable vibe created by El Remolon. Highly recommended!

SCHLACHTHOFBRONX - XLR8R PODCAST 8.04.2010 + MAN RECORDINGS PODCAST

My favorite air-horn carnival butchers from Munich, Schlachthofbronx,  finally featured on xlr8r podcast! Ghetto dancehall bouncy trip, full of originals and remixes, with a fast forward ride through all the Mad Decent-type gems of world music like cumbia or baile funk plus lots, lots of fantastic vocals. Schlachthofbronx are the absolute masters of eclectic fusion of  stomping etno bass riddims. I wish I had enough money to book them for a show in Warsaw, though the day after the party I would probably need to see some Oriental Healer to repair my dislodged joints.

BLOGGERTRONIX MIX VOL. 5

BLOGGERTRONIX MIX - VOL.5 by Bloggertronix

Great mix from the Bloggertronix crew! Electro bop, cumbia, EDM, crunk and glitch served in a very uplifting and uber funky way. The mix flows like a spring rivulet on a sunny day stroll high in the mountains. Listening to it I felt like going for a walk, unfortunately at my work when I leave my cubicle my options are rather limited - toilet, canteen, smoking area, no rivulets, no mountains, no sun :(
The mix includes a few of my favorite tracks from the recent weeks: Robot Koch's tune from Death Star Droid, Sammy Bannana's remix of Kid Cudi song, mesmerizing Filewile anthem, Two Fingers,  El Zombie - Fauna in Dj Disque remix (most frequently played cumbia track on my SS in the car!), Siriusmo's crazy shit, Notic Nastic - well I will soon mention the entire tracklist. Grab it while it's hot! Highly recommended.

BERSA DISCOS # 6 - SABO & CASSADY

YES, YES, YES!!! One of the best Cubmia labels, hailing from LA and SF, Bersa Discos has just released a new EP Bersa Discos # 6. I am big fan of this series and I'm positive this EP will be no exception. The featured artist this time is Sabo from New York associated with Turntablelab/Sol Selecta. The EP will be available soon via Turntablelab and you can grab a vinyl sold during the parties promoting the release as Sabo and Bersa Discos are on tour on the West Coast. Check the schedule on Sol Selecta's site.

You can listen to one track from this EP: Sabo & Cassady - Kuff Kumbia. Nueva Cumbia beats and dancehall ranting create quite a bright, funky roller. Can't wait to hear the rest!

Mad Decent writes:

..with remixes and re-edits of cumbia and Colombian folk songs, including classics like “La Cumbia Cienaguera” a.k.a. the song sampled for Samim’s “Heater” (on “Esa Loca Cumbia”) and Toto la Momposina’s “Curura.” “Soundboy Cumbia” puts a new dancehall spin on El Hijo de la Cumbia’s version of “Bombon Asesino” from the sold-out Bersa Discos #1 and “La Negra Chula”is a Bmore version of the merengue classic.

Wow! Thanks to Generation Bass Blog for this one. What a pearl! I would not even dare to mash Princess Superstar's killing dancefloor anthem with cumbia beats. But this shit works big time! Such a sunny goodness on Monday - priceless!! Dj Alta Joya from Cooliado let me show you some respect.

Chico Sonido - Discotheka Freestyle

Chico Sonido in Discoteca Freestyle mix. This one sits on my hard-drive barely a week, but it has become my dirty pleasure ever since. I have to start my day at work with at least a few minutes of this epic tribute to ultra cheesy discoteka years. Just listen to asi me gusta a mi or corazon de cristal. Oh boy! So many classic disco tracks in Spanish versions. I don't know about you but these female (and occasionally also male) voices and wedding-style synths of long-gone era caught me like a swine flu. I have not recovered yet.

SONIDO DEL PRINCIPE MUSIC MIXED BY DJ UMB

Speaking of "cumbiasing" diverse tracks by Sonido del Principe, mentioned by me in the previous post, just listen to this mix of DJ UMB of Sonido del Principe's productions and edits. Benga & Coki's dubstep anthem Night as a cumbia dub or Box Cumbia in collaboration with Samiyam (!) sound quite weird but how would you describe Sonido del Principe's cumbia treatments of Zomby stuff (!!!!!!!!!!!).

Tracklist:
1.Sonidoe Del Principe vs El Hijo de La Cumbia – La Mara Dub
2.Sonido Del Principe – Sexy Rod Dub
3.Sonido Del Principe – Wu Cumbia
4.Sonido Del Principe – Sole Rock Cumbia
5.Sonido Del Principe – Watch Dem feat. Horace Andy
6.Sonido Del Principe – Cumbia Curry
7.Sonido Del Principe -Horario de Verano
8.Coki n Benga – Night (Sonido Del Principe -Dub)
9.Sonido Del Principe vs Samiyam – Box Cumbia
10.Zomby vs. SDP – Shake that Strange Fruit
11.Zomby – Godzilla (Vince The Prince remix)

SONIDO DEL PRINCIPE - CUMBIA 4 LIFE MIX SEPTEMBER 09

SONIDO DEL PRINCIPE is the best! And I don’t mean to sound like 15-year old groupie, but he f…g rocks in Cumbia department so hard I simply don’t see a proper competition to his skills at the moment on the Neuva Cumbia scene. I have been following his productions since Bersa Disco’s releases and they definitely rock my body and soul. Take this lovely, sunny, yet heavy and pumping mix full of exclusive edits and you’ll understand what I mean. This man is able to ‘cumbiase’ any track. Just listen to ice ice baby or toddla t’s remixes. I cant wait to see death metal songs getting treatment from SDP he he he. The mix was recorded at Cul de Sac bar, where Sonido Del Principe hosts a monthly night called GENERATION BASS.

DOKTOR KRANK'S SUMMER CHARTS 2009

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

It is summer but by no means my tracks are on a sunny side of the rainbow. This is more or less what I like most this season to-date. Some of the tracks were probably released earlier, but I’ve heard them just recently.

MOCHIPET – GODZILLA NEW YEAR (DAVID STARFIRE RMX) Best remix on absolutely fantastic Mochipet’s Godzilla New Year’s remix EP. Ultra heavy glitch hop in an oriental sauce. Delicious!!

GS BOYS - STANKY LEGG (LUNICE REMIX) - Lunice is DA MAN, he makes no errors in his remixes! (check it on Sample’s mixtape)

RQM – BARELY EVIL (BIG DOPE P GHETTO NASTY REMIX. F…g bouncy, killing ass-shaking ghetto tech booty

FULGEANCE – ANN ARBOR 4x4 looped synths and infectious IDM melodies. Memorize the name of this French producer – he is on the rise.

ZOMBY – HELTER SKELTER After a listening a few times, this seems to be one of the best tracks on the newest release by one-and-only Zomby (maybe because it reminds Zomby EP most). On the whole I need some time to get convinced about his new album.

FORENSICS - ALL TO WASTE FT. INDI KAUR Beauty lies in the Ear of the Listener! Wonderful and spiritual track. Forensics never disappoints.

DAEDALUS - C'EST SUPER (MICHNA REMIX) Well well well ‘weird’ remix of even weirder song. Quite accessible for a Deadalus track.

CHIP CHOP – LAUNCH BLANK A highlight of the recently released “Motion Sickness” compilation on Run Riot Recordings. Proper glitch action with live drums and infections synths. Intense and deep.

KITIMAT – AMSDN Another killing track from Motion Sickness comp. Wow, this bass is soooooooo heavy. Plus very nice and infectious melody and synth work – spacey dub joint par excellence! (Download Motion Sickness FREE Minimix.mp3 and check the entire compilation as it includes much more goodies)

RUSTIE – BAD SCIENCE I know you’ve heard this track many times but I cant have enough of it and finally Bad Science EP drops on 17 Aug.

BASSNECTAR – COZZA FRENZY This bass will make you scream and shout and kick wild around! Don’t try and drive a car while listening to it! Banging indeed, even if too much on a Rusko tip! Bassnectar did it again!

SABBO (FT. MC ZULU) - SPANISH FLY (NOIZ IN ZION REMIX) Dancehall funky dubstep. I want more!

HOCKEY - SONG AWAY (JACK BEAT'S ANGER MANAGEMENT REMIX) Crispy production and pumping, pounding all-encompasing joint by Jack Beats'. Acid tip again!

MOCHIPET – GODZILLA NEW YEAR (AN-TEN-NAE RMX) Super ill glitched electronica with heavy bassline and fantastic melody. Ask your car’s sound system about the opinion on this track – your car will be delighted!

MIKA - WE ARE GOLDEN (JOKERS OF THE SCENE REMIX). Acid banger of the month!

M83 - WE OWN THE SKY (UDACHI REMIX) Drill core banging dubstep! I feared this track will make holes in my car’s roof and windows will fall shattered… and it begins so innocently.

AN-TEN-NAE – ILL The illiest glitch hop / crunk producer coming back with 5th installment in his Acid Crunk series. BIG!! (a similarity of Ill to his HTL’s remix is no accident)

MAJOR LAZER – HTL (TAMBOUR BATTANT & THE UNIK REMIX) Great bass-heavy and glitchy remix of the remixed-to-death HTL by the French electro outfit Tambour Battant and The Unik

FAUNA - EL ZOMBIE (DISQUE DJ REMIX) (download the entire record of Fauna’s remixes for free) Great cumbia reggae with fantastic synth work and infectious dubby rhythm.

WILEY VS. SKEPTA - TOO MANY MAN (DJ ABSURD FUNKY BASSLINE REMIX) DJ Absurd's refix added more depth to the pretty fast grime flow of the original and the bassline is veeeryyy tasty.

SELF EVIDENT - THE WALK Proper stomping beats with dancehall riddim with great drops, kicks and snares. Dirty bassline and delayed vocals create very dancefloor oriented vibe. I love Canada.

KAT1LYST-STARING BACK AT YOU AS YOU FADE (DE NOVO CREATION CUT) Great glitch hop track of Kat1lyst in a warm and deep edit by De Novo Creation.

LA MANITA DE FAUNA REMIXES – FREE DOWNLOAD

I've just returned from 2-week holidays and feel totally out of place sitting behind my desk in my corposhitation. Fortunately ZZK made my transition from sunny beach to gloomy room more bearable. ZZK Crew released another great package . An album including 10 best remixes of Fauna (i.e. Color_Kit and Catarsis). Fauna, Chancha Via Circuito, El Remolón, Villa Diamante, El G, Nim and DJ Uter each chose their favorites out of 40 entries to create La Manita de Fauna Remixes, an album with 10 tracks that can be downloaded for free from ZZK Records.

LA MANITA DE FAUNA REMIXES – FREE DOWNLOAD

These guys from Argentina are really on the run, this package just proves their potential. Practically all 10 tracks are at least good with a few sure-fire killers. Bersa Disco and ZZK are the shit for me right now. A few words about the contents of the package:

01- Fauna - Gauchito Gil (Black Mandingo Bass Mix). Classic cumbia refix with heavy bassline. I like!!
02 - Fauna - El Zombie (DisqueDJ Remix). Great cumbia reggae with fantastic synth work and infectious dubby rhythm !!! TIP !! Love at first hearing!! Best remix in this great pack.
03 - Fauna - Las Mil Caras (Un Mono Azul Remix). Slowly building spacey acid banger! another killer in this package.
04 - Fauna - El 04 (Adrian Giordano Remix). A sunny cumbia tip.
05 - Zurita - Llega Fauna (bmore Skank mix). Skanking ass-kicking remix. Nice !
06 - Fauna - Las Mil Caras (Lagartijeando remix). Cumbia dancehall riddim.
07 - Fauna - El 04 (Brujjas Remix). Solid cumbia work with infectious beats and vocals.
08 - Fauna - Las Mil Caras (Searchl1te rmx) – low-key yet extremely bass-heavy remix by Searchl1te, just listen to this button work. Second best remix in this pack! Very dark unsettling track. Quite original refix of cumbia tune reminding me of Cardopusher stuff.
09 - Fauna - El 04 (Senorita Remix). Ok but nothing more.
10 - Fauna - Las Mil Caras (Roche Remix). A multi-layered track, very ambitious work, just listen carefully to what is happening in the background, behind typical cumbia beats and vocals – I like the way the artist creates great spacey textures and works with ‘sonido’. Another TIP of the package!

Check the artists who are featured on the album to get more cumbia shizzle:
Black Mandingo, Disque DJ , Un Mono Azul, Adrián Giordano, Zurita, Lagartijeando, Brujjas, Searchl1te, Senorina and Roche.

Europe watch out! ZZK Records is on summer tour – catch them near you. Starting this weekend at

MAX LE DARON - RAVE MUNDIAL VOL. 1 - NUEVA-CUMBIA

Big, big nu-cumbia mix by Belgian Max Le Daron!! Best summer mix , there can be no doubt about this!

Well, I’ve never been a “funky guy”, in a sense that from my early heavy metal years (pre-history) I have acquired a serious distaste for anything cheesy or kitschy and always look at the darker side of the moon (hence my love for dubstep). For many years South American pop/folk music was put into the box with “don’t touch, it’s mega cheesy” sticker. Cumbia (and kuduro before) has seriously changed my attitude towards “tropical/third-world” beats, thanks to the new producers who treated local latin sounds with more modern tools. And honestly, this music is as intensive as nurave or electro bangers, makes by body move like crazy and makes me smile wild. Sunny tip definitely. Just listen to any Sonido del Principe, El Remolon or Uproot Andy track, you will know what I mean . Thanks to weird science blog for this fantastic tip.

Most of the artists represented in this mix are associated with two most energetic labels promoting cumbia across the world. One is Californian Bersa Disco which released music by, among others, Toy Selectah, Sonido del Principe (best cumbia track in my private ranking – Cargegena), Chancha via Circuito, with one name missing from the selection – that is Uproot Andy. The other is argentinian DJ collective and label – Zizek Records. Villa Diamante, El Remolon, Fauna are all associated with them (another new-comer to the ZZK rooster is none other than Douster which should ring a few bells with fans of blog music). Zizek Records has just released great cumbia compilation of ZZK Sound vol. 2. Grab it, this sound is goona be huge this summer. Check and download Uproot Andy – Brooklyn Cumbia on xlr8r, which is an opening track on this compilation .

Rave Mundial is a continuous mash-up of boosted cumbia pop beats with dancehall riddims and hip hop accapellas, the combination which works for me hot hot hot! Just listen to Toy Selectah refix of A Milli. Mega uber ultra f..g banger, one of the best refixes of this much-too-much remixed shizz!! But this cumbia version rocks hard! Or Shove it remix again by Toy Selectah. Or Villa Diamante - Chancha Via Circuito vs Lil Mama - another smashing cumbia pumping shit merged with hip hop. I bet one could sell this track easily in top-40, with one serious differrence - you could really have fun and enjoy listening to it. But the real highlight for me is El Remolon's remix of Matias Aguayo - Minimal. Minimal cumbia? WTF? Oh yes, fantastic minimal cumbia, with great bassline and slowed down rhythm perfect for head nodding. I really see serious affinity with glitch hop here! And I have to mention a very funny outro – Dizzee goes Peru by Grandpamini !!!! Dizzee's typical ranting clashed with autochtonic indian flute. Completely insane!

Douster ZZK mixtape.

Various Artists mix of free tracks

I try and squeeze in this post a few tracks I received over the last few weeks. No music style code, no common denominator, just a good listening experience. I don't want to lose them in the torrent of music hitting me from every possible direction. A bit different from what I usually post here, but not that much :)

Tzochitl Soundsystem vs. Toy Selectah - Hay Guey (highly recommended)

A funky tropical tip for your listening pleasure. After Sonido del Principe smashing tracks on the previous release from West Cost's cumbia imprint Bersa Discos, here comes another champion sound, namely Bersa Disco numero cinque with Toy Selectah (a.k.a. Toy Hernández) and a collection of remixes. Shake your body, move your limbs let the music speak, la la la latino way. Check the label's myspace for other remixes and collaborations, including Boys Noize and Dj Negro.
Schlachtofbronx - Good To Go (zShare) - (uber ultra highly recommended hit now in 320 version)

Timberlee - Gunny Gunny (Schlachthofbronx remix) (zShare)
(higly recommended)

Siriusmo - Uninvited Guest snippet (highly recommended)

Two guys from Modeselektor, Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary, decided to found their own label, Monkeytown Records, to create a platform for befriended artists. Modeselektor is definitely in top regions of my best electronic artistis list, thus I am very pleased to hear about this development. As they boastly claim „Anything Pharell Williams does, we can do better.“ Well, I definitely share this view ha ha ha.

Modeselektor‘s buddy Siriusmo personally invited himself to be the very first artist on Monkeytown Records. Siriusmo aka Moritz Friedrich is a real survivalist, played in a band for many years and is a fan of old keyboards. As a professional artist (painting, illustration, graffiti) Siriusmo lives off temporary jobs and even does construction work now and then. His self therapeutical way of life shows a new side with „The uninvited guest“ (to be released on 15 June 2009). Two EPs by Siriusmo will follow and album at the end of 2009, all on Monkeytown Records. I'm really looking forward to this release - a fine share of electronic extravanganza and surreal beats making you laugh and cry at the same time. Trust me, you'll really want to have this record at hand just in case :)

“Dangerous MC’s” Redman and Method Man (Bossasaurus remix) (highly recommended)
Negatron and Egon, two funny Bossasaurs in a remix of the great hip hop track from the new album "Blackout 2" by none other than Redman and Method Man. Oh yes, these guys bring us really dope beats and old-school flow in a funky refix. Note from the saurus themselves: The track was also made for a contest with other semi-exciting prizes, but like most herbivores we were in it for the big bunches of green leaves. Please help us accomplish our profound dreams: Knock this shit. BTW - check my blog for a ridiculous mix by the dinos.
BODYCODE - WHAT DID YOU SAY taken from IMMUNE

Bodycode (Alan Abrahams) grew up in post-Apartheid South Africa, where polyrhythmic percussion first entered his bloodstream; he then lived in Portugal for years, sweating it out in Lisbon’s club scene while absorbing the sounds of electronic dance music and releasing tracks via numerous aliases. Three years after releasing 2006’s The Conservation of Electric Charge on Spectral Sound, the man known as Bodycode moved from Lisbon to Berlin. Now, Teutonic house music’s taut, jacking rhythms form the core of Immune, Alan’s new full-length as Bodycode. Immune is a a nuanced, intricately textured album of vocal-laced house tracks and “What Did You Say?” is the first single coming off it. Preview the entire album here.

Prairie Cartel's - Beautiful Shadow (Santiago & Bushido remix).

Potty Mouth's Santiago and Bushido in a pumping house remix of Prairie's Cartel's track with pretty heavy and ass-kicking bassline. The official release is scheduled to take place in a couple of months on the label Long Nights Impossible Odds, however the guys were nice enough to leak this 320 high quality version. The S&B 'UWLMF EP', including the single 'Make Me Feel' featuring Colette is set to be released via Potty Mouth Music on June 9 and will be available at Beatport. Watch out!

"Tom Petty meets The Pointer Sisters in a neon karaoke bar in Tokyo singing Tina Turner. The music is a sonic milkshake, a genre blending, culture-defying laser show. Synths, raps, explosive hooks, colorful bridges, sailboats, inspiration" Well, a bit bombastic description but this is really sunny karaoke music for boys on yachts. I like the synths, some beats and funky approach to vocalization. Definitely not my type of music as such, but remixes are quite cool (esp. Minidog's). Find more about Iglu & Hartly on their site.

J Goon and Fresney - Under Rated (highly recommended)

J Goon and Fresney - Damn

Finally, fresh stuff from New Zealand's guys currently living in Melbourne, Australia. Glitchy, booty mashdowns with heavy beats and tight mixing. Give it a try, you'll not be disappointed.
